Quick Update #1 - 5/22/2018
Here's where we're at
But first...a little background on the company
(Skip this if you don't care to read about the history of Float'N'Grill)
Mike and myself (Jeremy) have been working on the Float'N'Grill project for about 3 years now. With little to no business knowledge, the first year and a half was a slow start. It was mostly spent designing, and prototyping along with figuring out how to apply for patents, trademarks, and registering as a real company. Going into the second year the project was stagnant for the most part as we weren't sure what phase of starting up a company we were at. Luckily we were able to get in touch with a few family members and friends that have done this sort of thing before. And with their advice, we were able to get back on track with the next steps which takes us into the current year...2018.
The good stuff
So far in 2018 we've received funding, found a manufacturer for the flotation base, found a manufacturer for the grill, and got incredible feed back from the Detroit Boat Show. As of right now, the flotation base is in its second stage of manufacturing which was quoted a lead time of 5 - 8 weeks. We've ordered a sample grill, and are waiting for it to be shipped. We don't have a price point just yet but are getting very close to having it figured out. We're hoping to offer 4 colors at the launch of the product and expanding to more after that. We are pushing extremely hard to try to have the Float'N'Grill available by the beginning of summer but unfortunately we can't guarantee its release date yet.
Stay tuned for more updates from us, and as always, if you like what you see please share it with friends.
